ELIGIBILITY

  • An industry member who has time and again shown to exhibit an unbiased scientific approach to addressing the marketing ‘hysteria’ and ‘sensationalism’ often found in the dietary supplement and natural products industry.
  • Such individual would be someone who strives to add credibility and professionalism to the industry as a whole, moving it into the future with sound review, research and or constructive criticisms making it a successful and rewarding field.
  • This individual will have dedicated their time and work toward making significant contributions and improvements in the health and well being of other individuals through nutrition and natural products.
  • Not eligible: RAF Directors, Advisors and individuals who would have a conflict of interest, as determined by the board, in receiving this award.

WHO CAN SUBMIT A NOMINEE

  • Industry members, organizations, companies, academia or the media that consider their nominee to be fit the above outlined criteria. 

NOMINATION SUBMISSION SHOULD INCLUDE

  1. The applicants current Curriculum Vita (CV) or Resume.
  2. Three letters of character reference sent separately by peers.
  3. A personal description of past industry improvements, advancements or obstacles challenged and or changed in the natural products and dietary supplement industry.  (no more than 5 pages)
  4. A letter describing the applicant’s philosophy toward the natural products and dietary supplement industry and the direction they would like to lead it in.  (no more than 3 pages)
  5. Additionally, if author of any papers, a selection of the latest or most pertinent publications may be included. 
  6. Contact information for the applicant as well as character references.

DEADLINE FOR 2008 AWARD NOMINATIONS

Applications are accepted through February 22 ’08. All applications will be reviewed by the board members and then voted on in early April. The winner will be announced at the Ramazanov Award Foundation Reception and Award Ceremony at the Supply Side East show in Secaucus, NJ April 28-30, 2008.
